There is literally so much content and I feel so sleep deprived all the time that it’s hard for me to concentrate beyond creating a successful roadmap. My brain is thinking in systems and interactions and I want to know the different parts and pieces and now they work together.
So I was skeptical about the best way to go about the different content and I think that… it more or less depends? I have a specific set of interests and a number of budding interests, however for now there is context and how things can be applicable.
For this reason I am prioritizing the content that is available to me through Codecademy and utilizing the wisdom, tools, libraries, resources, etc. that are all out there.
I asked ChatGPT to tell me about projects I can integrate into WordPress that can support my educational journey with Coding. More on that later.
Using these portfolio projects I will showcase my skills and competencies; and over time I hope to develop my coding skills. The programming languages most prominent for me right now include: JavaScript and Python.
I am undecided in the best way to go about completing courses and actually learning. I do better with a broad sense of an overview of the different parts of the system, and then honing on and developing the skills needed to work within the system. In that way I prefer to watch and observe before moving into a place of action.
I found the models within Codecademy’s UI/UX Design course to be supportive to my mental framework and intend for those conceptual models to guide the roadmap design process for my study. I’ve taken to heart some of Codecademy’s marketing materials, i.e. open road, and I really do want to see how far along I can get.
Front end will be relevant to displaying and visualizing my work on WordPress, while back end is relevant to linking into databases and otherwise making applications of data analytics possible within the webpage; so I believe full stack is the best pathway to take in order to visualize data science related activities within the webpage.
And I know I don’t have to reinvent the wheel: there are already several different plugins that exist that can assist my process of learning data science. More on that later.
Tata for now. I will be reviewing the ChatGPT recommendations and identifying the actors and systemic interfaces, programs, plugins, etc necessary for my overall project goal: to turn this website into a portfolio of my technology skills and to input practical applications for living x learning x teaching…
